Trekking Adventure / 3 days, 2 nights, starting from M’hamid
This short trekking tour fits perfectly in your vacation when you are staying in Marrakech, Ouarzazate or Mhamid. Discover the Sahara desert with Desert Bivouac. You will be visiting our two Bivouacs, El Mezouaria and Chegaga.
3 days starting from M’hamid:
Day 1 : Bivouac El Mezouaria
Meet in the afternoon at our travel agency Desert Bivouac in M’Hamid. A drive in 4×4 vehicles takes us past the palm tree groves on our way to Bivouac El Mezouaria.
In the evening a nice traditional Dinner and listening to authentic Sahara music round the camp fire.
Overnight stay in a Nomad tent at the Bivouac.
Day 2: M’Hamid – Chegaga
After breakfast, a two-hour camel ride, then leave for a 4×4 adventure trip along sand tracks to the dunes of Chegaga, the largest dunes in Morocco.
Lunch in the shade of palm or tamarisk trees. In the afternoon continue to Chegaga passing the Holy Oasis.
On arrival at Bivouac Chegaga, time to enjoy the splendid sunset on the high dunes. In the evening a traditional dinner and Entertainment around the camp fire with music by local young people. Overnight stay in a tent or under the starry sky.
Day 3: Chegaga – M’Hamid
Breakfast at the Bivouac before leaving for a 4×4 drive along the sand tracks, returning to M’Hamid. On the way, visit the ancient fortified Ksar, drink tea with the locals.
Price 235 euro per person
Included:
- camel ride
- lunch in the open desert or in the shade of a palm tree
- overnight stay in a Nomad tent at Bivouac El Mezouaria and an overnight in bivouac Chegaga
- 2x evening meals and 2x breakfast, a bottle of water is included with dinner and breakfast.
- transfer by 4×4 from Mhamid to Chegaga and back.
