Trekking adventure / 4 days, starting from M’hamid
Day 1: M’Hamid
To start with our four day stay, meet in the afternoon at our travel agency Desert Bivouac, opposite the large mosque in M’Hamid, a village on the edge of the desert. Transfer to 4×4 vehicles for a trip passing the palm tree groves on the way to our desert camp El Mezouaria.
Dinner round the camp fire, enjoying traditional Sahara music. Overnight stay in a Nomad tent at the Bivouac.
Day 2: M’Hamid – Chegaga
After breakfast, a two-hour camel ride, then a 4×4 drive on sand tracks to the dunes of Chegaga, the largest dunes in Morocco. Lunch in the shade of the palm or tamarisk trees. In the afternoon continue to Chegaga.
Arrival at Bivouac Chegaga to enjoy the sunset and dinner. Entertainment round the camp fire with music played by local young people. Overnight stay in tents or under the starry sky.
Day 3: Chegaga – M’Hamid
Breakfast at the camp before the 4×4 drive back along the sand tracks to M’Hamid. A visit to the ancient fortified Ksar M’Hamid, drink tea with the locals.
Arrive at Bivouac El Mezouaria for dinner and entertainment round the camp fire with music by local young people and overnight stay.
Day 4: M’Hamid
Breakfast at the Bivouac, then return to the village of M’Hamid.
Price 295 euro per person
Free for children under the age of 4.
Everything included except drinks.
