NEW YEAR AND A 3 DAY TOUR, MHAMID, MOROCCO
New Year 3 Day Tour Morocco. Day 1: M’Hamid
Meet in the afternoon at our agency MHAMID TRAVEL, opposite the large mosque in M’Hamid, the final village before the desert. Transfer to a 4×4 for a drive past the palm groves on our way to Bivouac El Mezouaria, where we will prepare for New Year’s Eve.
We celebrate New Year’s Eve in the open desert, under a starry sky, and round a camp fire. A delicious traditional dinner is served including Moroccan soup, mechoui (a whole lamb stewed in a specific oven: a festive speciality), couscous, a seasonal dessert, tea, Moroccan pastries.
An evening of Nomadic folklore. Overnight stay at Bivouac El Mezouaria.

Day 2: M’Hamid – Chegaga
After breakfast, a two-hour camel ride, then in a 4×4 along the sand tracks to the dunes of Chegaga, the greatest dunes in Morocco. Enjoy lunch in the shade of the palm or tamarisk trees. In the afternoon we continue our drive to Chegaga.
Arrive at our Bivouac Chegaga in time to enjoy the splendid sunset and dinner. Overnight stay in a tent or under the stars.
Day 3: Chegaga – M’Hamid
Breakfast at the camp before a 4×4 drive along the sand tracks to M’Hamid. Visit the ancient fortification Ksar M’Hamid and drink tea with the locals before returning to the village.
